JUSTIN BRASCH KNEW ABOUT CRUMBLING INFRASTRUCTURE SINCE 2018

“Parking Structures in the City do not have regular structural inspections by firms experienced in structural inspections.”

STATE WARNED THE CITY IN 2017.

“Lastly, we found the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) created by City officials is not tied to regular inspections because they do not occur. The lack of consistent documented inspections prevents the program from ensuring it addresses all structural repairs. Regular inspections could increase the effectiveness of long-term capital planning.”

CITY WAS FAILING TO DO INSPECTIONS.

MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL HAD 90 DAYS TO RESPOND, INCLUDING WHEN BRASCH WAS ON THE COUNCIL.

Justin Brasch cannot claim ignorance since response was expected while he was on council.

STATE ASKED FOR THIS TO BE PUBLIC.

"We encourage the Council to make this plan available for public review in the Clerk's office"

In October 2025, a parking garage near Hale Avenue and South Broadway fell down, crushing cars and revealing years of neglect. Shortly after, authorities closed the Galleria parking garage due to safety concerns. A CBS News report confirmed that 40 city-owned garages in White Plains had not been checked for structural safety. Everything the state warned about, including the lack of inspections, documentation, and oversight, became a reality.

WARNINGS BECAME REALITY.

White Plains has a rich history of diverse representation, with leaders from various political parties and backgrounds shaping our city. However, for the past fifteen years, single-party dominance has stifled this tradition, reducing transparency and limiting open debate. Every resident deserves a voice in our government. It’s time to end partisan politics in White Plains.

We need a mayor who will guide our city toward a vibrant future, prioritizing the community’s needs over maintaining political power.
